Family Vacation 2008

We just returned from vacation to Gatlinburg, Tenn....
We spent for days in an amazing cabin with don's parents. We rode the Aerial Tram and got to see Gatlinburg from above, we saw an Elvis impersonator that was scarily like the real one and had a great time walking around and checking out some of the local shops. On the way home, we stopped in Chattanooga and went to Rock City. This was the highlight of the trip. Don and the kids had never been before so it was a great way to break up the trip home. It was a good time, but THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME...

As most of you know, i visit my cousin on her farm often and it's one of my FAVORITE places on earth. It's so quiet and peaceful. We went to her mom's house and I took this picture. I took this picture b/c #1 I love this chair and #2 it encompasses the feel of the entire place.

The Zoo (part deux)

Well I think the kids are on to me... I think they have realized that the zoo is our "free" place to go and that when all else fails, we inevitably end up there. I don't think they like it as much as I do anymore, but I am always surprised by how much fun I have....awkward.

This is the zoo's new baby giraffe. Everyone is allowed to vote on the name. Cooper voted that her name be "Gracie" and Bella voted that her name be "Lolly".
